Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Jorge Julian Leal, who serves patients in Tampa, Florida.

Dr. Leal,  a senior pain management specialist with Physician Partners of America Pain Relief Group – Tampa – Habana, has over three decades of experience managing patients’ pain. He serves as a consultant to other physicians but is often the principal treating physician, providing care at various levels; such as treating the patient directly, prescribing medication, prescribing rehabilitative services, performing pain relieving procedures, counseling patients and families, directing a multidisciplinary team, coordinating care with other healthcare providers, and providing consultative services. Back in 1980, Dr. Leal graduated with his medical degree from the School of Medicine at East Central University in the Domenician Republic. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in anesthesiology at the State University of New York. After completing a year of fellowship training there in pain medicine, he joined the faculty as an instructor in pain medicine. Subsequently, he became an assistant professor of anesthesiology and pain medicine & co-director of the pain treatment center.
